240

Then I had to back off again due to too much traffic. Feet tucked in, knees firm against the tank. elbows as close to the body as possible and eyes just above the double bubble screen.
Why is it such a great feeling to go fast?
The Prilla pulls like a lokomotive in 6th gear when you're cruising at a 130 - 140. When you wind the throttle open it kinda thinks for 0,2 seconds (you're sitting in the "flat" spot around 5000 rpms) and then there's this great growl and then she starts pulling.
I guess she doesn't pull like a later date 4 cylinder (or that 1098 for that matter...), but she pulls!!!
Why is it so fascinating to go at more than double the speed the road signs tell you (NO! not in 50 and 30 zones!!!)?
It's around 8 degrees, cloudy but dry - and it's just sooooo darn good!
When you stop and feel the tyres, they're not even luke warm. Yet still it feels like they really grip. Even through the bumpy and rippled stuff when the bike sways a bit the tyres still feel good. Bloody amazing. (However, I don't lean that bit extra that a nice summer day encourages you to...). Michelins.
I was a bit lucky again today. Coming down fairly fast through a curvy section a car blinks like hell at me. OK. He might not have liked my speed - but it could also be the coppers out trying to raise some money for the X-mas party. And coppers it is. I roll through at 68 and as I pass through,, with the lazer man smiling at me I just realise I didn't register the bike before I went out today. Not registered equals not insured equals NOT GOOD.
As soon as I've rounded the next corner I just friggin nail it, and after a few hundred metres as I look back in the mirror there's a flash of blue light. Now, most likely it's just a beam of xenon light that's reflected, but fekk me if I'm willing to find out.
Red light at the big intersection. Breath calmly. The lights turn fairly quickly and I'm off like a rabbit again.
I'm spooked all the way home. Such an ediot. Again...

It's spring

I know, I know. I've already taken a ride in January and a ride in February, but those were on the VOR.

Yesterday I took the Prilla to the roads. I went bike riding to customers for the first time ever. I thought the weather would be cloudy but still ok - fekk, was I in for a surprise. It rained the whole bloody time. About 5 degrees and rain... Apart for the last 35 kms. My God was that dry line good!!! Hah, almost step off the bike as I overtook from slow pace on a gravel strewn white line! Must have looked cool from behind as I just pinned it after that... Childish or wha'? :-)

I really don't know about the sanity in owning a bike with more than 50 bhp that u can use on the open roads.

As I can now pop wheelies just off the throttle, this seems to happen more and more. (Close to binnin' it yesterday as I crack the throttle open in first gear, just outside a customers, it's very wet, rear spins, rear grips, I'm kinda sideways with a half wheelie - at the corner of my left eye I can see two blokes standing outside smokin' looking like they just saw one of the biggest ediots in this world...).

Getting back home it's time to bring out the hose. Can hardly read the "LeoVince" on the speaker. Thanks to the torrential raining we've been blessed with, I don't think there's any salt though.

The German crash fairings don't fit up too well with the original ones, so I think I'll just keep the tank on for raod use.

And Lasse. If you're reading this, why don't you make a fekkin comment every once in a while instead of complaining on how long it's been between up-dates!

Nala R.I.P.
