History of the YellowONE

I hope to be able to fill this department with a lot of info as time goes on. Right now I only now that she's done a bit of racing out in Europe (the TT course at Isle of Man being one of those). The last owner was an old Ducati campaigner back in the good old days when the 888's ruled the tracks!
As can be seen from the fairings the original engine in the frame was from Folan and as I understood it was always tweaked to the maximum. YellowONE is also supposed to have had a sister.
She's just packed with beautiful bits!!! Tigcraft frame, ISR brakes, fork and handlebars, Öhlins rear shock, Marchesini magnesium wheels.

The project’s been baptized!

Work in project YellowONE commenced this week with one VOR 503 E loosing its engine and one supermono racer gaining the very same.
So, off I went to Lasse who’s keeping the YellowONE in his Ducati garage. Would the engine fit into the swingarm brackets? Jeez, only a few tenths off! Out comes the grinding tool and the grinding’s done. Purrrrfect! However… The engine can’t sit level as the carburettor is squeezed between the engine and the bracket for the rear suspension. This also means the driving sprocket sits a bit too low, meaning the chain will eat it’s way into the plastic swingarm chainguard. Ahhhh, shite!
Solution’s on the drawing board (what drawing board?) and it feels great the project’s on its way!!!

No worries, mate!

Well, it just to me a few minutes to chuck the engine out of the Vor E...

Maybe I should've given 'er a bit of cleanin' after the last spin in the dirt before chasin' the spanners.

Next up is to squeeze 'er into the Yellow One. Lasse!!! Where the fookk are ya, mate?

A new set of cheezus for the Vor SM. I'll get them on tomorrow and run them on the bike on Friday. Or so I hope anyway.

Bloody great I also got that spare subframe for the Vors...

It only took 28 hours

to fill the gap of the Woman in Red. What's the point of only having one VOR? None at all in fact!!! The easiest way of turning a single into a twin is of course to get another one. Thought and done.

So, who's the eediot now? Huh?!!! Hah!!!!!!!

But, wait a moment...

There was something preceding this act of ludicrousy. It came in the colour of yellow, and the shape of a Supermono racer. A man in Skåne waved her goodbye and she has now found an intermediate home in Gråbo. Will be continued...

Fook me, she's gone!!!

Yep. It's true. I have lost my mind. And my love. Here she goes. Bye, bye...
