New family member

Our family has taken taken on a new member as of yesterday - Smulan. She's 12 weeks old and she's already told Simba (the Red Anti-Rocket) what she thinks of him and also scared a 30 kilogram dog.

We predict she'll be chasing rats the size of foxes in a couple of months time.

Until then she likes resting on my Aprilia.

Done it again...

Yup.

Trotting along the 45 just passed Göta in direction towards Lilla Edet. Just coming onto the straight. It's raining a little bit and the surface is quite wet.

I've had a number of slippery warnings earlier on the smaller roads, so I'm running quite careful.
Speed limit is 90 km/h.

I cautiously swirl out over the white line to overtake the car in front of me, twist on a little bit more gas, ba-aaaaack in again I get a mother of a slide, then it grips and I'm hangin' on to the bars with only the back of my right knee still on the saddle. Bike shakin' like a fukkin rattle. My left foot bangs against what feels like the rear wheel. No cars coming from the opposite direction. I let her go.

Bang! On to the wet tarmac sliding on my arse/back/side. See the bike straighten up as I slide along. Continuing down the correct side of the road.

I dig in my feet too soon to get up and make a small somersault. I get up. Bike still going down the road.

I get running and put the thumbs up to the driver that I just passed who's slowed down. Bang! Bike goes into the armco on the right hand side of the road, side first. Then flops over on it's left side. Doesn't look to bad.

I keep running, passing over the road and waving I'm ok to more cars.

Get to the bike. Get a good grip and lift her up and put her on the stand. Looks fairly ok. Nothing bent out of hell. Those crash mushrooms really do work!

Wave ok to more cars.

Get on her. Start her up. Sounds alright. Shift lever's a bit bent but works. Breathing heavily from the run and, I guees, the crash...

Wait for a gap in the traffic - go!!!!
